A native of Oklahoma, DUNN holds a Master's of Fine Arts from Chapman University where he received the Knott's Scholarship in Screenwriting and a Cecil B. DeMille award nomination in screenwriting. He also holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Organizational Development with studies in Instructional Technology from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Oklahoma City University.
